This is a good flea ridder approach right?

I'm trying to rid my house of fleas. I bathed my ferrets in marshals ferret flea shampoo, the blue stuff, ran a flea comb through them(no fleas or flea dirt/eggs but are itchy) and sprayed them with a lemon spray(a lemon boiled in water) I also sprayed their cage with apple cider vinegar and the lemon spray. I bathed my cats in vets best natural formula anti flea spray shampoo and it killed many fleas on at least my one cat. Later when they calm down I am going to run a flea comb through them and spray lemon spray on them. I also put a thin layer of borax and swept it in and will vacuum it up late tonight in the hallway and the bedrooms. Tomorrow I am going to use the lemon spray on the furniture and use borax on the living room rug. Thanks for reading. And will this work at ridding my flea problem? I might do the borax again every week for a month and then once a month after, and I'll use the lemon and ACV spray everyday on the pets and home and furniture. Probably will use the flea comb every day too. But I will never wash my cats again. Ever. Lol. Thanks for your time!!

Answer:
Dawn dish soap smothers the eggs too. But it sounds like you're on the right track.

Combination is always key, and the procedures you are doing to eliminate fleas sounds like a good plan. I've heard of the borax solution, I recommend buying the ADAMS or Zodiac brand of furniture/carpet spray to spray around the furniture, especially in dark cornered spots like under the sofa and mattress to kill fleas instantly and prevent them from jumping back onto your cat or ferret. It's summer time and fleas are at their most deadly, this is when they breed and survive the most with the summer heat, using flea medications, and room sprays or foggers must be used in combination to prevent flea infestations. Make sure you also spray the upper corners of walls, where fleas and ticks tend to come in from the outside of your home. In the future, invest in an outdoor flea treatment on your house to prevent re-infestation. I have come to the conclusion that Borax is safe to use in homemade cleaning products, as long as you use common sense in handling it. Don’t handle it if you have cuts, abrasions, or burns on your hands, don’t ingest it, and definitely don’t let your kids and pets get into it, so please lay off the borax some and vacumm plenty after applying borax on carpets. Flea powders used on carpets can also do the trick. Recipe for Homemade All-Purpose Household Cleaner: (Use as a great house cleaning solution and preventative for fleas) ■3 cups of hot water ■2 Tablespoons of vinegar ■1/4 cup of Borax (sodium borate) ■1 Tablespoon of phosphate-free dishwashing liquid (like Seventh Generation)
