Which amplifier should I buy for these speakers?

Should I buy a HD tuner/receiver or an amplifier for my new cabinet speakers?

I just recently bought a pair of speakers with supposedly good sound quality. The thing is I don't have a receiver to plug them into or an amplifier. I'm just looking for a cheap way to connect my speakers to my computer and I want to know which one is more beneficial and which device would cost less.

The best route is to buy a HD receiver, but a stereo receiver will save you money. If you want good sound quality get one with a digital in (optical or RCA). Amplifiers are more for bigger or better speakers and probably are not what you're interested in. Also a surround sound receiver can be expanded to give you among other things surround sound and video input selection (xbox, pc, ipod, etc)
