How to make 3D work on my projector?

Can I use hdmi to dvi to get 3D to work on my 3D ready projector?

• Hi I just bought the optoma 700 gt 3D "ready" projector. I know this means I need a converter box to plug in 3D blue ray and what not, but here's my question. It says I can use my pc 3D out of box no converter if I use dvi and have a 3D supported graphics card, which I do. The reason I need the converter box would be to convert the hdmi 1.3 signal to 1.4 format since the projector doesn't have a port for hdmi 1.4. So if the dvi is 3D compatable would it be possible to hook up my ps3 or something else that's 3D capable via an hdmi to dvi plug, since that's like $20 and the converter is over $200? Or I'm I missing something with this whole 3D thing? Thanks for any help.
