Home theater question?

Having a problem and need a question answered about my Home Theater.?

  • So I am having a audio problem between my surround system and my PS3. The problem is the audio will lag or just wont work if I use an optical cable. The surroound and stuff works when I have it set to the RCA but thats not the best quality and way of doing it so I was just wondering if it was the cable or the system it self I have this system: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Audio/Home-Theater/Home-Theater-Systems/model.SC-PT464_11002_7000000000000005702 and here I a video of my problem to better explain it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH5vfl54ueE&feature=player_embedded

  • Answer:

Make sure the cable is seated in both ports and not loose. Make sure the cable is not kinked or has not been kinked before. If you have another optical cable, try it. It could be the HT receiver, do you have another optical port to use? Or maybe it's the PS3, can you hook it up to a friends similar HT system? You will have to experiment to determine the cause of the problem
