Should I Buy A Bose Wave Music System?
-
I got a bonus and a raise at work and thought I would treat myself to something nice. I'm would like a stereo system and I have always heard that a Bose Wave was great, and it sounded great in the store. The problem is once I started doing research online I find that Bose Wave reviews tend to be either the best thing someone has ever bought or some feel that it's all hype. I have a great home theater, so the wave would be in my bedroom or home office to play my cds. just want to know is it worth the money?

Answer:
I definitely think so. I have several Bose Wave Music Systems. I can tell you why it makes sense to me. First, not much can go wrong with the unit, its a simple straight forward device. I have one that was a birthday present in 1998, it still works and sounds good every morning. Back then it cost $349.00 new. I would say I have gotten a return on my investment by now. I like the sound quality for what I use it for. Close quarters, office or bed room use it sounds just fine. Talk radio, jazz and classical music, check. The Bose Wave System is a nice extension to an existing speaker set up. If you like the airy spacious sound quality you will like the Bose signature sound. If you like a flat frequency response, the Bose unit is not for you. The wave system has a good balance between bass and treble with instrumental music. Vocals are true if you like a live sound. The wave system has a robust sound quality for what it is intended for. The more muscular unit is the Bose Sounddock 10, it is more of the same, but with greater sonic expression across the sound stage. If you are one to like simple, then the Bose is for you. It has a switch to turn on and off, turn up or down. The owner of a Bose unit likes to plug and play. What you may want to do is listen for yourself. Bose has a 30 day return policy put it in your room and play it all night and all day, see if it makes sense to your musical taste. I would say the Bose Wave music system is a good back up to your main home theatre system. Like anything get it as cheap as you can, that makes it an even better buy. Another option is the Kicker ikick 501. Outstanding value and performance for half the price of Bose. http://www.amazon.com/Kicker-Digital-Stereo-System-iPhone/dp/B002I529AY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=13 Best.

It all depends on what your donig with the sound. If your play music and just music a Bose would be fine. But if you watch movies and want good Solid sound i would not go with the bose. There nice but they have a lot of hype in my opinion but not what i would get.
It's definitely worth it, you said it yourself that they sounded great! They would be ideal in a small room you yeah, get them!
No! Buying just about ANY other brand of sound gear will get you better performance and value for money.
