What is the best game recorder for PC?

  • **BESIDES WEGAME** I have already had a history with WeGame and it was not a good one. I'm not sure if Fraps is a great game recorder either. Although, I will not download it under any circumstances because I've heard of it not being free. You can only record for 30 seconds max in the free version. That's bs. I would really appreciate it if someone would let me know what game recorder is the best. And please make sure it's safe (no viruses), fast, and creates great quality videos. Most importantly, I prefer it to be FREE. +side note: -I use Windows 7 Home Premium -Planning on recording Portal or Portal 2 and probably Team Fortress 2

    I use FRAPS to record and it is probably the best, Records in HD. I record portal 2, Team Fortress 2 etc. www.FRAPS.com

I concur on FRAPS. It's not free, (runs about $40). However, if you are going to record in TF2, I would just use the in-game recorder. You will need another program for most editing work, but the in-game recorder is pretty powerful. You just have to make sure you are in a server that has "replay" abilities.
