Why is my digital cable box remote not working all the time?

My time warner cable box just says "b 109" and it is not working. Anybody know what this means?

Ahh mine is doing this right now. :( I hope unplugging it for 10 minutes works.

I had the same issue. Time Warner Cable was doing an update and it broke certain cable boxes. You need to call Time Warner Cable to get a new one.

this has been doing that all day to me as well .... and time warner help like sucks!!!

Don't know for sure but often just unplugging the box for 10 minutes and replugging it reboots it and it works again. If not, then you'll need to replace it.
