How do I access upper levels of FTP server with a limited account?
-
Im trying to access the root folders of the ftp server space im on. The server space is owned by my friend who has locked me out and has stolen my web work. He has however, forgotten about an account that is limited to one folder. Is there any way of me accessing the upper levels of it? It is server space hosted on Servage. I really need my work back! Thanks! P.S. Here is the login if you need to use it: www.ftp.servage.net User: get-web Pass: cct123cct123

Answer:
If the security is set up properly on that "one account", you can't get access to anything *other* than what it was configured for. Sounds like you need to work things out with your "friend" so you can get your work back. If you are a minor, talk to his parents (or get your parents to do so) so that you can get your work back.
