What are the webcam requirements for Yahoo! Messenger?

Why does Yahoo Messenger & Webcam shutdown my modem?

My system is Windows 7 Home. I have updated Yahoo Messenger & Logitech webcam. Was working fine until last month. On webcam chat, my guest's video feed runs good for about 1 min & then freezes. Then my modem looks like it resets as if it lost a signal. Then my Messenger has to be rebooted. I tried reinstalling webcam driver & new updates for video drive etc. Any fix it solutions? I never knew that Yahoo Messenger+webcam trouble will shut down the modem. First I've heard of it. By the way, my own video feed seems uninterrupted..it's only screwing up my receiving feed.

You do know that the Web Cam software isn't involved if your video is fine. Problem is Yahoo Messenger and I have no ideas on that. You need to verify your modem settings and that this is your only problem with your modem. I suspect that the problem is with Yahoo Messenger.
