I am looking at getting an IT certification, what is worth getting?
-
I'm currently 25 have a bachelors degree in computer science. I have been doing IT work for about 3 years now. I am looking into getting a cert. I've been looking at getting a microsoft database admin certification....is this worth my time and money getting? I have not had a job as a programmer, but do have some SQL experience (none being a DBA). Would it be worth my time to do this? What would be the best path? Is there any other certification that would be worth getting? I do NOT want to be a software developer (ie c++ .net ect) but i wouldn't mind writing sql all day for a job. Thoughts??

Answer:
CCNA and CCNP are the best qualifications for IT. Specially CCNA for small IT. Large places will do require CCNP, but thats up to you.

Go with a CCNA that's what i'm doing and seeing how you have a bachelors degree it'll be a bit easier.
