How can I get my VMWare Workstation 7 PC with Windows Server 2003 to be seen by my Uverse Gateway?

How can I get my VMWare Workstation 7 PC with Windows Server 2003 to be seen by my Uverse Gateway? Currently, on my Windows Server 2003, I can access the internet, I can ping myself 192.168.1.50, i can ping my Uverse Router 192.168.1.254 I can ping my host PC 192.168.1.71.. But but the Windows Server 2003 cannot be seen from my Uverse Gateway. I can see my host PC and all other devices but I cannot see my server.. I am new to VMWare so please put this in laymans terms.

check and make sure your VMware virtual machine is in the same workgroup as your Host OS and other devices.
