Question about my itunes?

Help w/ iTunes Home Sharing, Technical Question!?

  • I have had no problem with iTunes Home Sharing until the latest two upgrades which supposedly improved upon Home Sharing - hah. I have a desktop and laptop that I like to share music back and forth between because sometimes I buy it on my desktop and sometimes I'll buy it at night when I'm in bed. It was really convenient. Anywho, it stopped working. Here is what I've already done: Downloaded iTunes installer and "repaired" both iTunes. They are running on 64-bit systems, on the SAME network, using the SAME iTunes Store account. I have made exceptions to allow iTunes through the Windows Firewall on both machines. I have turned home sharing off and on again and restarted both machines to no avail. Besides uninstalling everything off both systems and reinstalling, I don't know what else to do and I'm not paying Apple to solve this for me using their freeware program. I don't want to have to lose my music and have to reset all my stuff on my iPod by uninstalling iTunes - yuck. If anyone knows of an easier solution (as I'm not sure uninstalling and reinstalling would even solve the problem), I would greatly appreciate it. This is frustrating me beyond belief! Thank you!

    I recommend buying an apple computer, because you would not get any of those problems on their computers using their product. Because I've used iTunes on my windows computer and I have losted all of my music after that i bought my macbook and that solved everything.
