What is the most functional Mac OS X all-in-one printer?

How can I connect a Mac OS 9 computer to my windows networked printer?

  • In our office we have one older Mac computer that has OS 9. All other computers are Windows based. We just got a new Ricoh Aficio 3300 copier that we print from. We had a Ricoh Aficio 2228c before. We could print fine from the old one with the Mac but no one knows who set up the printer driver for that one. Since it is a windows network we have no appletalk. I downloaded the mac driver for os 9, I went to the printer utility and clicked add printer, I selected Laserwriter from the scroll down, then I clicked the LPR printer option, I loaded the driver for the 3300, then I put in the correct ip address. It verified the printer was there but whenever I print I get jumbled pages of randomness. Anyone know what I should do?

  • Answer:

On my network I use linux drivers for my mac connecting to ricoh printers. I would use the v5 of the drivers and not v6. This is also on a novell netware network.
