How to set my PSP wifi?

My PS3 isn't finding WIFI connection?

  • I used to get WIFI on my ps3 which is situated 5 meters from my wifi router but recently ive had to reinstall windows and set up my wireless router again which took ages. This did reset everything so the best thing for me to also do is go back to my default factory settings on my PS3. When trying to find a connection on my PS3 it doesnt find anything at all so I tried to set up wifi on my PSP (playstation portable) and it is showing 100% signal so on the PSP it is fine. Why cant I get wifi on my ps3? Iam not out of wireless range at all and iam setting up the wifi correctly on the ps3 but it doesnt recognise my router anymore. I was looking around for a switch on the ps3 to enable wireless but it doesnt have one like the PSP. I shouldnt need to reconfigure my router at this early stage as it should automatically detect my router anyway. My router is showing excellent strength.

  • Answer:

If you are sure that your wireless network is up to par. then check under network setting on the PS3 to ensure that you have it set for wireless connection. Also on your router make sure that you have the MAC address filtering turned off.
