Can you tell me step by step how to connect to Xbox 360 live?

I am trying to connect my xbox 360 to live through a wireless laptop?

  • I have got it all connected and a bridge made between the two connections but when i turn on my 360 while i have the ethernet cord plugged into both my vista and 360 my vistas wireless turns off thuss for not alowing my bridge to do ****. (also i have tried ics it doesnt not work for some reason it wont let me turn on and vista wont tell me why...) but is there anything i can do to make it so wireless will stay connected when i turn on my 360?

    You cannot use a standard patch cord to hook an xbox to your pC....you need what is called a Crossover Cable. It looks just like a patch cord the the connection are backwards...or corssover...there are instruction online on how to take a patch cord and create a crossover...or you can use a hub or router. To do a wireless...if your PC or laprop has a wifi card, some models allow you to create your own wifi broadcast.

I was under the impression that you had to buy the USB wireless adapter for the xbox360 because it didn't come with one built in--you know, as an accessory. I double checked microsofts xb360 website. So, number 1, we need to establish if you have this accessory. If you don't you will have to either go and purchase it or stick with wired connectivity. Also, you need to let us know if your wireless router has a built in switch, if it doesn't, then yes, you will need one if you plan on running multiple wired connections from the router. Either way this is how your network should function: Wired: Cable Modem-->Wireless Router + Switch (or Wireless Router-->Switch)-->Port1-->PC;Port2-->Xb… Wireless: Cable Modem-->Wireless Router. Wired Port1-->PC; Wireless-->Xbox360. That answer your question?
