Why is my Mozilla Firefox (in Ubuntu Linux) running slow?

  • I am using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.23 in ubuntu linux (10.04LTS). Recently I notice most of the websites are taking unusually longer to get loaded than before. What might be the reason? (I am using adblockplus and noscript addons with firefox.) How do I know this is fault of my browser or of the websites or of my ISP? (Sometimes browser is unable to load some page after trying for a long time and if I try to load that page again, it does load. So at times I have to try twice to get some page loaded! This was never so earlier.)

    try running firefox without addons and see if that does any good,try cleaning the firefox cache or upgrade to the latest firefox download chromium see if that has the same problems its a case of trial and error
