How can I improve my Xbox Live connection?

whenever i play anything online...i have 1 bar of connection and i lag ALOT. the only time that i have good connection is early in the morning or late at night...and sometimes i randomly get it. I have portforwarded...enabled my DMZ and upnp and have a static ip for my 360 and i still have bad connection....can anyone PLEASE HELP ME?????

Have you tried hardwired? String an ethernet cable between the router and the xbox to test. Good Luck
