How do I modd My Xbox 360?

How can I use 2 Wireless Royters to Connect my Xbox 360 To xbox live?

  • My xbox 360 wireless network adapter just broke so I can't connect to xbox live anymore and at the moment I cannot afford a new one. I would like to know how I can connect my Xbox 360 to my computer (With internet connection) so I can connect to xbox live. Here is what I have and how everything is set up: I have Verizon Fios internet. The Router is connected to my parent's computer on the first floor of the house. My computer is on the second floor and has no wireless connection built in to it so I use a ZyXEL G-220 v2 wireless adapter (Looks like a little usb flash drive) to connect my computer to the internet. I use windows Vista. I aslo have a Netgear router that I got from a friend. The Other day I took the router and an ethernet cord and plugged one end into the internet slot on the router and the other end into the back of MY computer. Then I took a second ethernet cable and plugged one end into the 1st Lan slot on the router and the other end into my xbox 360. When I signed in to xbox live, it worked! And I could play against other people without any problems on xbox live. But I wasn't able to join any partys or join a friend's game (Or have him join me) for some reason. So I tried power cycling my router and when that didn't work, I restarted my computer. After restarting my computer, It no longer works. When I test my xbox live connection it gets past the network part but stops at internet connection. The internet and wireless symbols on the second router used to be blue when it was working and now they are yellow. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work again but I can't I'm Begging, Please someone help me. What do I have to do to get it working again? Please don't answer if you don't know just to get points, please don't say something like: "Dude just buy an adapter", and please be specifific. If you say something like "Bridge the connection", don't just tell me to, please tell me how.

  • Answer:

It sounds like the second router has lost connection to the primary router. My first suggestion would be to go downstairs and unplug the main router for AT LEAST 30 seconds (this is called power cycling). Then plug it back in and let it start up and make its connection. Then go upstairs and see if your router has reconnected to the network. If it hasn't, try power cycling it and see if it connects. Just leave your PC unplugged until you get the Xbox connection going. Plug your PC in very last so it can resolve it's own network address.
