How do I get Wi-Fi on an iPod touch?

How do you get wifi on a brand new ipod touch? my sister can get netgear everywhere we go but i cant.?

    theres a few posibilities. 1, i would assume the ipod is functional because its new but hardware issues are always possible. 2, the network is out of range (first gen itouch gets slightly better wifi signals so thats why hers would work) 3, the network is invisible. click "other" in the wifi network list and add it manually.
