How do I connect my wii to my wireless?

Connect 2 PCs and a Wii with Wireless?

  • Here's the question: I have 2 PCs and a Wii, I need them all connected to the internet. Problem is, one PC is downstairs, the other upstairs, the Wii is on the other side of the PC downstairs. Now, I have one cable modem on the PC downstairs and this is currently my only means to access the net. Now I have read to get a wireless router but something isn't clicking with me. On the back of my Wii is a USB port, how do I connect to the Wii? I think I may need this in steps. 1) Plug modem into Wireless router... 2) What do I need for my PC upstairs to get internet and the Wii to get internet?

  • Answer:

    1) plug in wireerless router. 2) the wii can now connect with no cable (go to the settings in the wii and choose internet) 3) the computer upstairs needs to connect so the are three options A) get a cable exstention and make a long cable all the way up stairs. B) Buy a wireeless adaper or card and install it into the computer for a wireless internet conection C) move the computer and buy a cable. Good luck

Get a wireless card for the PC downstairs, set it up. Give the PC upstairs direct access to a wireless router. The Wii has wireless capabilities, and if it didn't, I wouldn't be a Nintendo fan =)

1. Get your main PC hooked up to your router. 2. Either get a WiFi card for your PC 2B. OR Get the Nintendo WiFi USB adaptor. 2C. OR Get the USB LAN adapter for the Wii. depending on which option you go with it's simple from there. If you have Wifi Router or get a Wifi card for your PC, the Wii will auto detect the signal and set itself up. (look under Internet in the Wii options menu) If you get the Nintendo USB WiFi adaptor, your plug it into your PC and the Wii can detect it too. Thirdly, if you buy the LAN adaptor it hooks into that USB port on your Wii- and then into a USB port on your PC, and again the Wii will auto detect it's own settings and there's a different option under connection for connecting Wireless or Wired.
