What is the best gaming modem/router for 15+ devices ?

  • I need a router/modem either separated or combo , actually idk what is the good for me , i need to play ps3 online and i have thomson tg585 v7 its suck and recently wireless turned off and on repeatly all the time , and when i connect to ps3 online via lan , i feel like im too late in ping so im tired of that crap thomson . i have like 12-18 device in home , pcs , laps , ipad , mobiles , ps3 , .... and use both wireless and lan cable . house is a bit big ( like 750 m2) and it has many walls separate each room I dont really know if its good to buy something like refurb. netgear adsl2+ modem , and a refurb. N600 router or to buy a combo router and modem like Acintec Help please .

    The best option for you is to connect ur ps3 with network cable, for higher range or stronger signal router buy anything which says' n'. Connect most of the things I.e. Pc laptop with network cable and keep mobiles on wireless, u have too much burden on ur router try to cut some load off with cables. Also try for cable internet then phoneline/asdl broadband

Get an N router and have it sit in the center of the home if possible. N routers support faster speeds (if you have the speed) and better signals, BUT your devices need to be N compatible (which unless they're 7+ years old, they probably are). If you have more than 4 physical connections then you may want to invest in a switch as well (switches let you connect more wires to your modem). Expect to spend at least 50 dollars on your router. Shop at newegg, look for the highest rated ones. Ask your ISP about whats compatible with your connection, they might offer you a better router/modem.
