How to create a Wifi network under a Proxy Network?

  • I am working in a place where the network is set up as a Proxy (I hate it). I have to set up a wireless zone in an area so that clients can access the internet through their laptops. How do I go about setting up a wifi network under a proxy? The problem I have is that there are IP addresses assigned to more than 30 computers (manually). And the router (Linksys WRTG54) assigns them randomly, does the router know that there are used IP addresses on the network? Or are they private to that particular network? For example, the proxy address starts with 125.101.101.4. The router sometimes assigns (Via DHCP) local IP like 192.168.1.1. Or sometimes does something like 125.101.101.100

i belive there's dhcp server that aassigns ips and not router .... you should ask you system administrator u can assign ip to specific computers using their macs ...
