What could be wrong with my wireless connection?

What is wrong with my wireless connection?

  • So, I was playing web games perfectly until I suddenly lose connection. When I look at my wireless icon in the task bar, I notice there's a red X on it. So, I figured what caused it might have been a network adapter that was disabled. I went to Control Panel, checked my adapters, and they were enabled and "working perfectly". I restarted the laptop several times, nothing has changed. The network adapters I have are the following: -Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter -Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller -Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11 bg 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter I disabled and enabled them all, still no answer. Is there something wrong with my network adapters? If so, please mention and tell me how to fix it! Thanks.

Most likely the router or modem itself is the culprit. Turn both of them off. Then turn the modem on and wait for it to get a connection. Then turn the router back on and wait for that to sync up. That should to the trick.
