When you convert Microsoft Powerpoint for PC into Mac, do animations and word art change?

I was wondering does the conversion of the PC version of Microsoft PowerPoint change my animations and word art into one that is compatible with the Mac version of Microsoft PowerPoint or does everything stay the same. I'm using PC version of PowerPoint 2010, if that may help answer the question. Thanks in advance.

Slide transition animations usually stay the same, but custom animated powerpoint templates and sound effects are usually changed.
