Need Detailed Route?

Need help finding/restarting network security key!?!?

  • Okay, so I've been having A LOT of problems hooking up my DS Lite to my internet, and the conclusion that we have finally come to is that we just need the network security key. I have read guides online on how to FIND your key as opposed to restarting the router and creating a new one, and I still can't find it anywhere. So basically we have to go the "restart and make a new one" route. But my dad is like "well I don't wanna have a situation where we make a new key, and then we can't get back on on the laptops" So I'm wondering if somebody would be kind enough to write a somewhat-detailed guide on how to restart the router (we have a lynksys), create a new password/key, and connect to the laptops afterwords. ((And I'm doing all this because to change the settings to WEP (for my DS) I need to type in the password, and none of us know what it is))

  • Answer:

read your router's user manual it will teach you how to reset your router at its factory default setting. your router must have a little hole RESET written on it insert a pin in it for 5 to 8 seconds then release. after that restart your router and configure the settings and policies again as you want. otherwise open internet explorer type 192.168.1.1 and press enter in username and password field type admin & admin u will be log in. it will contain many pages try to look all pages there is must be security key written there somewhere.
