Connecting my wireless router to a wifi connection?

Hello!My college has a wifi connection and it is transmitted via a wireless router. I too have a wireless router and my room is about 300 mtrs from my college.How can i connect my laptop to that wifi connection by my wireless router?I use windows 7 and it works perfectly with those connection in the college but i don't get the connection when i am in my room.Sorry for my poor english!! Thank You

Answer:
you can get a wifi antenna which will pick up signals that are farther away. either that or get a bigger router that broadcasts farther, but that may cost a little more
