Why isnt my internet working?

  • well basically my brother set up a new wpa secuirity or whatever it is called for our internet since it has always been unprotected. Now im using my dads computer but on my MY computer it does not want to connect to the protected internet. I put in the password and everything and it doesnt even try to connect. it says unable to connect due to timeout or user action. I even put in the wrong password sometimes and it workds.. what is wrong and how do i connect to it?

boy, that 's the worst when the internet won't work. my internet didn't work for 2 days and i have no idea why, and the next day it was working. weird.

If your brother set up a WPA encrypted and password protected wireless internet your pc need to know the password so it can acess the router. You should always protect you wifi as this stops unwanted people using your bandwidth?

Well one it might be that your computer is to far from the wireless router and your losing signal. 2 it might be that your wireless internet security is not company with your wireless card on your computer. 3 is that if your computer has Norton Internet Security it probably blocking your SSID so you need tell the computer that it is safe to access your home network.
