How can I use an Azure reserved IP?

What IP do i use and how do i use it?

  • So I've been trying to port forward for my minecraft server, and have been making no progress. Some people say that you have to use the internal ip and others the external. People can't connect when i forwarded the internal IP and when i tried to use the external IP it said this: Server IP must be a LAN address. And really isn't working. I don't have a static IP, but i can get one. If it helps, I have a Netgear wndr3400.

  • Answer:

Depending what type of router you have you can actually find mine craft in a drop menu in the port forwarding tab in your router (Net gear) and then open the port with the internal ip address. After that you can got to dydns and sign up for an account and also download an updater in to the source computer so whenever your router resets your internet ip address can be downloaded to your account. after that everything is good.but my understanding may be wrong because i only did forwarding for a DVR system. but my best advice is to start first and then tackle the problems as you go. And DOWNLOAD THE MANUAL FOR YOUR ROUTER! anymore questions you can email me
