How can I create a LAN connection between my PC and my TV?

I have a PC with one ethernet port and a TV with one "LAN" port (I'm assuming it's the same as the ethernet port). I also have an Asus Wireless Router with Modem and ofcourse, an Internet connection. Now, how do I create a LAN connection between my PC and TV and also be able share the internet connection between them? Do I need anything else? Or do I just have to configure these devices to connect to each other and share the Internet connection?

Answer:
all you need is a cable to run out from your tv to the spare socket in your router or buy a wireless lan cnnection for your tv from the tv manufacturers. I personally would place my modem next to tv and run a cable ,faster and more reliable
