Why does my YM keep getting disconnected?

I keep getting disconnected from the internet.?

  • I've got a Linksys RangePlus WRT100n Wireless G Broadband Router, I've got AT&T DSL as a provider as well. My PC has a Netgear Dual Band Wireless N USB adapter and I keep getting disconnected from the internet no matter what I do, usually at 20 minute intervals. No other laptop or machine in the house has the same issue. Any help is appreciated.

    Have you tried connecting an ethernet cable from your router to your computer? Disable the wireless on your PC, and see if you can remain connected. If you can, the problem is probably in your wifi card on your PC.

This sometimes occurs when a computer fails to get what they called a pre-shared key update from the Router. It is usually set at intervals of 5,10,15,20 minutes as is your case. This is usually resolved by running the setup CD provided with the router.
