How to connect 100 computers together?

I am able to connect to my router, but not the internet?

  • Ok so here are the problems. 2 days ago everything was find and dandy. now I am unable to access the internet through my desktop -I am able to access the router and all computers connected to the router -All other computers wired or wireless are able to connect to the internet through the router (in all four plugs) -I am able to connect to the internet if i hook directly to the modem -When i use windows network diagnostics the problem found is "The DNS server isn't responding" What i have done so far -ran avg virus scanner -disabled all firewalls -uninstalled avg -ran winsockfix -netsh int ip reset -netsh winsock reset -uninstalled/reinstalled my nic driver -ran xp tcp/ip repair Here is ipconfig /all [code]"Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation.     If you're using Cox internet, your IP address is set to automatic along with everything else. Do not put in a set IP address or you'll never connect. You also need to power cycle everything. Unplug modem and router, plug in modem first, wait about a minute then plug in router. If you're able to get online through any of the computers then you know the internet is there, its something to do with the router. In that case, contact your router manufacture or go to their website and try to troubleshoot there. Also Cox does not support your router, so if you need any information as far as your password etc, you will have to contact your router manufacture. If you call Cox, it will just be wasting your time bc they will have to tell you the same thing I just did.

It's very easy to go online. You need to update the user name and the password in the router and bridge the modem.To do this you can either contact your ISP or the router tech support , I believe that you are a techie so you can do this by yourself,just login to the modem and bridge it then login to the router and update the user id and password which you can get it from your ISP

you appear to be using Vista or Windows 7 Try setting a static IP address where the DNS servers are 4.2.2.4 and 4.2.2.2 These are public DNS servers that work almost all the time. If you don't know how to do that, email me at [email protected] I'm hoping you do, because I would have to search around a little to find it.

A lot of people forget to power cycle their DSL/Cable modem when the hook up to a router or PC. You need to power cycle your DSL/Cable modem anytime you connect it to a different device.
