New Vista laptop does not "see" the shared printer on my Vista desktop?
-
I got my wife a new laptop which is running Vista Home. My desktop is Vista as well and I have my laser printer setup to be shared. Her XP laptop can see the shared printer but the new laptop does not. The workgroup name is the same on all 3 computers so I know that is not the problem. I am wondering if maybe I need to reset the router so it will allow it to "see" the printer? The funny thing is, the new laptop is seeing a XP desktop computer I have on the network so I am at a loss as to why a Vista laptop would not see a Vista desktop or shared printer. Any thoughts?
