How Do I Connect My Xbox 360 to the Internet?

• I just moved into my grandparents house and I'm having trouble getting my xbox 360 to connect to the internet. The Internet Provider is Comcast, and they don't have a router, only a cable modem. I connected the xbox 360 directly to the cable modem and used the automatic settings and this message comes up on the xbox: "Can't obtain an IP address from your router or modem." I think I may need to manually put the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway in. Where do I find the IP address, etc. that I need to put in? If anyone can tell me something else that I can try, I would greatly appreciate it.

  i have xbox live dude so ill help you. ok dude they half to have internet in the house is they do get an internet cord and stick it in the back of the cable modem and put the other end of the internet cord in your xbox 360 and you have live thats it dude. Or if it doesnt work just call the xbox people.
