Why doesn't msn work on my laptop?

Laptop wifi doesnt work?

  • Hello. Well the wi-fi on my laptop doesn't always work. (Asus X52S-Series) At random times it will stop working, and will only work after i restart.. The thing is though, my MSN still sees people signing in. I can't message anyone, and my internet explorer and mozilla does not work. I go on my ipod to see if the internet is working, and it is. The lights on my DGN2000 modem/router are fine. I have tried turning on and off the wifi, and windows solution cannot find a solution either. Using the 'diagnose and repair' feature in the network tab, all it suggests is to reset the network adapter which i did, but it still does not work. What could the problem be? Thanks,

If these things fail then its definitely a virus.Try using avg internet security if you dont have an antivirus.its one of the best for blocking any malicious programs within the computer and via external drives or internet.Use system restore to restore to the earlier point where the wifi was fine.

Cable in the ethernet settings and go into the router to check the wifi settings. Disable it, enable, set the channel to '6' (if it's on Auto) and save, then reboot it. Also update the wireless adapter in the lappy. It'll probably say it has the latest updates, in which case, it's fine. I'd also have a look at if your browsers are playing up. Could be a virus...

You need to be near the router are move the router near to your laptop try your laptop about 3 feet from your router .Good luck

Try these steps: Open cmd line(int accessories) as Aministrator(right click) then: C\:netsh interface tcp reset C:\reset.txt C\:netsh interface ip reset C:\reset.txt C\:netsh interface winsock reset then reboot. Another thing you can try is removing the hardware from the device manager, it will immediate reappear + detect a hardware change then install the windows driver for the product. If you are using drivers made by the manufacturer of your wireless card have these to hand and update driver with these, if you don't have the original disk you can either download the driver from the manufacturers website or make a note of where the driver is before you remove the device. None of these things can in any way damage your system,
