What does international address mean?

What does it mean when I have a notification saying "Another computer on this network has the same IP address"?

  • I just got a notification on my computer saying "Windows has detected an IP address conflict: another computer on this network has the same IP address as this computer. Contact your network administration for help resolving this issue". But... What does this even mean??

    It means you have a duplicated IP address where you are using both the same computer address in the network. Ex. Your Computer address is 192.168.1.1 , your friend beside you is also using a computer with the same ip of 192.168.1.1 What you can do is to verify and check your IP address on your PC by going to start, then click run, then on the box type cmd and as soon as the black screen pops up type ipconfig /all and there you will be able to see all your network details and you can tell your admin that you are experiencing "network collision" Btw, if you are on an automatic ip address network you can resolve your issue by just typing ipconfig /release on the black box and then enter once this is done type ipconfig /renew after that should fix it Good luck

Just like it says, your computer's network address is already in use by another computer. Complain to the System's Administrator in your office. If you are not in a network and you see this when you turn on your computer and connect to the internet, it means someone else is using your IP address. Call your ISP to complain. If you are the one using someone else's IP address, pay for your own internet connection to avoid problems like this.
