How do you send a Fax?

How to send a fax to my work form a wireless fax machine?

• I just bought a wireless all in one machine. Canon MX420. I know there is a way I can send a fax without being "wired" into the phone jack but I am missing the concept. I have the printer wirelessly connected to the router and to my laptop. I am trying to fax multiple documents at the same time so saving each file individually isn't going to help. My associates need to be able to pick the packet up and take it with them, not spend time opening each doc up and printing them individually or standing at their machine waiting for each to come across. I don't think I understand the process of how to fax form my machine directly to my associates office fax machine. Can anyone tell me what I am ignorant about here? Nothing in the manual actually explains how to do it and online just says I need to be wirelessly connected to the laptop and router. PLEASE HELP!!! I need to get these docs sent asap, lmao!

  You can use the scanner portion to send it to a faxing service. The faxing service takes them and faxes them to your office. I don't see the difference of scanning them, putting them in a zip file and sending them to your associate as an email enclosure. The office fax can only receive things from the phone line, it doesn't know about the Internet unless someone bought a gateway to mail to fax service.. Some companies have this facility, but a standalone fax would not have this. So your only options are to put a phone line on your machine or use a faxing service (which costs some money).
