What is a good gaming router?

What would be a good gaming router?

  • Well, I currently have had the router for the past 2 years... Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad for simple games and browsing the Internet, but... I am starting to play more games on the computer and XBOX Live, but my connection isn't always the best... If I am the only one using the Internet via XBOX Live in my house, then I have no problem, most of the time. But, as I said before, I am starting to play more games that require better internet. I don't want to just buy a gaming router because of two reasons. The first is, I don't know very much about routers. The other is, I don't know how it will effect the rest of the people in my house. I have been looking up some good routers from Best Buy and just searching for gaming routers. I have found two of them so far, but I don't have any idea if they are good enough... Could anyone suggest me a router to get, or at least an article that could help?

    Apple airport extreme. It can handle huge amounts of bandwidth, and has great coverage. That's why I have one
