How To Boost Mobile Internet Speed?

How to boost my internet speed?

  • Ok so im on my laptop now i connected to my home network and it says its 54mbps anyway i can boost that

  • Answer:

Step 1Begin by identifying how much speed your internet company is allowing you to have. If you're capped at 256k, then you're not going to be able to download fast no matter what you do. There are many cheap internet services that offer connections of 2mbps, 4mbps, and more! Step 2Many say the type of internet you're using can play a factor. Cable internet speed and latency seems to diminish when a lot of people in the area are using it, whereas DSL has been said not to be affected. These are not the biggest points, but may help your speed for online games and such. Step 3Make sure your computer is, however, up to par with your internet speed. Deleting your internet cache, temporary files, and using the steps listed in my article on how to speed up your computer will help your internet. Step 4Download a picture compressor if you're stuck on a slow internet such as 256k or dial up, or just if you want it to be ultra fast. This will make everything load much much faster because the images will be a little pixelated. Your pictures are still viewable, however, just in a little bit of a lower quality. Step 5If you're the only one using the internet and you're connected to a router, disableing this will help. The more you split your connection, the weaker the signal gets. Step 6Reset your modem every once in a while and be sure that all the cables are connected securely. If you have ping and latency problems still, contact your internet service company as they might need to replace your modem or something.

That is the speed that is determined by your router and wireless card. I believe that is 802.11g which supports 54 Mbps which is currently the max supported speed. The only way to get faster is to hardwire using an ethernet card plugged into your router. If you do that you can get 100Mbps and even 1000 Mbps. However, that will not affect your Internet speeds. So if you have a laptop with 60gb of music and want it on your desktop, it will take considerably longer using wireless than if you were to hardwire your computers to the router.
