What could be wrong with my wireless connection?

What is wrong with my wireless connection? 10 POINTS*?

  • When I'm using the net on my laptop, the wirless connection would suddenyl be disconnected? But the modem is still on. And after whatever minutes or hours, it would then be connected to it again? How do i fix this problem? I think*, it said unsecured network- but I'm not sure would this help. Anyway, this problem has been persisting for quite few days now. How can I fix this problem? Thanks for any help.

    U can stabilize the connection by 3 ways >ensure u've full signal for wireless then make sure u don't ve any cordless phone or oven or any device working with (2.4 GHz) near the router coz wireless works on that and will kick out . >then secure ur WIRELESS connection if not neighbors may use it and will result in frequent disconnection

Mine does this because it is connected to the phone line and when someone answers the phone the internet goes off and then reconnects itself, If its unsecured it means that someone else can use it for free and doesn't need a password for it it shouldn't affect it. sometime if you sit near copper pipes the copper and take the energy from the wireless. You should ring your internet supplier and they should be able to guide you on what the problem is. hope this helped peace out \V/

It doesn't matter about the unsecure bit that only means that there is no wep key required. The most obvious answer is that you have poor recepion or you mave have a wireless fone or microwave that might affect your signal.

Poor signal. If you're in a unsecure network, it means your'e in someone elses. Only way it to get a cable and connect to hob.
