How do computers work?

Computers and how to make wireless sharing work!?

  • OK, my computer is a IBM Think Pad and even my dad has tried to make this work but has had no success. So, I go to "My Network Places", then "Entire Network", next i go to "Microsoft Windows Network" after that I go to the network I created called "Tucchome" and then there are 3 computers connected or just showing up there. I say that because my whole family has computers and four of them have windows computers, three are laptops just like mine and the other one is a stationary computer. My dad's is a mac and I'm wanting to share a game that is 8 gigs because my laptop does not have a DVD burner so i need to use my dad's computer to burn it. My two sisters and my mom's computer shows up in the network but only my mom's your actually able to connect to. So i need to find a way to get mine on there so i can play the game. Can someone help me?

  • Answer:

You probably can't do it. Most programs have security issues that don't let you use them on anything other than the computer its installed on. The only way i can think of is if you used remote desktop to operate the other computer whilst you using you laptop and the computer is playing the game. Do this by going start all programs accessories remote desktop connection then typing in the computers name you want to access.
