If my computer has a virus can my iPhone have one?

Hooking up wifi to different computer because of virus?

  • My desktop computer has some virus on it. Its causing the Linksys wifi that's hooked up to it to mess up. It will only let me go to certain sites, and the Internet always redirects me to a spam site or something. I strongly used the wifi on my iPhone and since my wifi is messed up I'm ony able to use like one app Safari is extremely slow if it works at all on some sites and, I can't download any because 3G will use up all of my data. My question is, can I hook up my wifi router & modem to my laptop or my other desktop without the virus and it work? I've tried everything I can to remove the virus, but Norton antivirus is not tracking it and Internet forums do nothing but make me irritated. Please help!

    No machine is hooked up to your wireless, the router should connect to your modem, or straight to the line of it is a DSL connection, and is a standalone system which needs no drivers or software on any machine. But to fix the virus you should be conecting your infected machine to the router with a network cable, wireless will not do htis. Then start in safe mode with networking and download the free scanner from http://malwarebytes.org and run the full scan.

yeah no virus that infected your computer will afect your wireless router.....well thats not true because i just thought of a way to do that.. but thats not your problem. and this sounds like the 2012 virus. it redirects you from sites that will help you get rid of it. like the guy above me said, try malwarebytes very good AV if nothing else works, reinstall OS
