How to access a printer on a network, on a macbook?
-
At work, the computers are all connected to the internet through the same router in a network (no server or anything, just the router). We have a printer which is only physically connected to one pc. I've worked out how to allow all the other pcs to connect to the printer (start>run>ip address of the physically connected machine>printer). However, there are two macbooks on the network. I can't work it out for them. I did find some sort of 'network connect' option, and the ip address seemed acceptable, but it didn't throw up the printer name or anything. Does anyone know how I connect a macbook up to a printer, through a pc, on a network? Thanks.

Answer:
Install the printer driver and configure it for network use (using it's IP). If you have a system admin you should ask him.
