How do you set a Google theme as your homepage?

When I open a new TAB is comes up with Yahoo, but I want Google!?

• Alright well I downloaded a program recently which installed the Yahoo toolbar etc and made Yahoo my Homepage. I changed my homepage back to Google, but, whenever I open a new tab, it still goes to Yahoo. I'm using FIREFOX, not Internet Explorer. I've already gone to Options > General > set google as my homepage. People keep telling me to do this. When I start up Firefox, it WILL go to google, but when I open a new TAB it goes to yahoo http://search.yahoo.com/?fr=freeze&type=W3i_NA,132,3_6,Tab%20Search,20101149,17029,0,16,0 I've gone to Programs/Features and tried to uninstall the toolbar, but their's no option too... I've asked this question several times now but no none has given me a solution that works.. Please read the full question. I've already set my home page as Google via Tools > Options > setting homepage. This doesn't change the fact that when I open a tab, yahoo pops up. Please help...

  The best way to overcome this is to uninstall Mozilla Firefox (with yahoo toolbar) which is already installed in your system. then again install Firefox from www.mozilla.com/firefox/ and set the home page to google and I will also recommend to install google toolbar for firefox if you need all the features of google.
