How do i set up a internet connection NOT wireless???

i already have linksys i just want to know how do you set it up with cables and wires NOT WIRELESS plz tell me what i need and plz DONT make it CONFUSING thanks so much for ur help!!!

Answer:
first plug in your Linksys router into a computer with the supplied ethernet cord. use the LAN 1 port on the router. go to the routers homepage by typing in its ip address. (Usually found underneth the router itself, on a sticker) it should read something like 192.168.x.x once you login to it you should see a homepage and it says something like automatic internet setup or manual internet setup. plug in your high speed modem to the WAN port. click on the automatic setup button and it should setup your internet connection to be shared. when it is finished, try to go on the internet. if it works, you can then plug in more computers into the lan ports of the router. good luck!
