How can I connect my printer wireless?

How to connect my regular (non-wireless) printer to my wireless network so that I can print from my laptop.?

  • my printer is connected to my primary PC via usb, can't print from my laptop. I have a wireless router.

    Hello! What you will need to do is simply Add a Printer from the Control Panel of your laptop and instead of selecting "Add a local printer", select "Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer". Once you click that, you should see your printer of your main computer so long as it is on and connected to the network. Control Panel -> Printers -> Add a printer -> Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer -> Select your printer then click Next -> A pop-up window will show your laptop trying to connect to the printer -> After a few minutes you should be good to go! Another way you can do this, if your router is equipped for it, is to connect the printer to your router so that all the computers on your network can print to it. This has the advantage of not requiring that two computers be on if you want to print from your laptop. The disavantage is (again depending on your printer and routher) that if you also use your printer as a scanner it may not work with the printer connected to the router.

Epic failure. Wire Printer=No Wireless. Common sense?

I agree with pcswizz, all you should have to do is load the same printer driver that is on your primary pc onto your laptop and tell your laptop where the printer is, this is all I had to do and mine works just fime from room to room
