Why won't my DS connect to the Wi-Fi?

How can I connect to wi-fi?

  • I need my Nintendo DS to connect to the wi-fi in my house but it says the security settings won't allow it. It works fine with my computer, laptop, and wii. The wi-fi comes from at&t uverse. So if you know anyway to change the settings without like calling the hotline or just ways to connect please tell. Thanks yous.

  • Answer:

You most likely have WPA security on your wifi network. Nintendo DS only works with WEP. WEP security however is not a secure protocol. You have three options: 1. Lower the security on your existing wifi network from WPA to WEP 2. Same as #1, but also enable MAC address filtering 3. Buy another router, hook it by network cable to your existing wifi, ports allowing, and set it to have WEP security.
