How do I connect a HDTV to a Computer with a HDMI-DVI cable?

I want to connect my TV to my computer. I was gonna plug an hdmi port to the HDTV and the dvi side to my computer. My questions are: 1. On my tv, how do I switch between tv and computer 2. on my computer, how do I switch between my monitor and tv 3. How do I connect sound onto my tv? My tv is relativly far away so I dont think I can do a seperate sound cable. Is that what is required? I have an XPS 720 gaming computer and a Samsung Class HDTV Thanks

1. You have to use the source key on your remote control and change the screen till you see a picture. 2. When you connect your Pc with your TV the computer will automatically ask you what you want to do. Use your TV as your main screen or extended use both ( you don't need to unplug your monitor just use a different port, VGA or HDMI ) 3. Well if don't use an HDMI cable you want have sound from your TV only from your Pc. Otherwise you have to move your speakers with out unpluging them from your Pc.
