How To Test A Pc Speed?

Drastically lowered internet speed w. kaspersky Pure?

• Hi there. First of all, thank you for taking your time reading my thread. Now I hope that you can help me solve it, because I am a very frustrated man (and have been so the past 5 months). I am playing World Of Warcraft (online computer game incase you don't know about it) and the past 5 months or more, I have had lag issues when playing it. I tried to use some internet speed calculators (or whatever they're called in english). I have an 8Mb download/1Mb upload internet speed from my provider (Yousee). When I run the test/scan, the pin at the meter stays at between 1-2 Mb download and the last millisecond of the test it goes up to 34/64 sometimes. Upload speed pin stays at a constant 1 Mb more or less. I have talked with my internet provider about my issue and they told me to do several things (search for malware, viruses, update drivers, buy a new network card, format C drive and reinstall Windows, update all critical programs such as my antivirus.) Did all things and nothing helped what so ever. Have talked with them over the phone lots of times without any luck. Tried to plug my cable into my wife's laptop and on her computer the speed shows 8Mb download as an almost constant speed. So, - had to be something with my own PC. At the very end I gave up, bought myself a brand new PC (old one was 5 years of age) installed Kaspersky PURE on it like at my old one and I still got the problem... Then yesterday I took it to a friends apartment to see if that would make any change - he got an 80/30 Mb download/upload speed (fibres). Made the same result at his place, except other numbers (250Mb download/30Mb upload). Then just before I had to pack up and leave I tried to disable my Kaspersky (never done that while on the internet, but I was like "this is the last thing to try out". Then Whoopsy, my connection got stable and showed 80/30 Mb DL/UL. Now I have searched at the forum and can't find any issues related to this. I have checked my PURE settings and it looks like World Of Warcraft have full access and still it lags ingame. Question: How to get my internet speed proper, so it works as intended - not just ingame but also when surfing the internet etc? I know this is a very long post with a (hopefully) simple question, but would like to share what I tried, so you don't think that I am totally messed up inside my brain (or maybe you think now that you read this thread) but also if others can reckonize what I have written/told you about. Besides I am so frustrated over my very own stupidity that I did not think that my antivirus might have a play in this. Once again I apologize for this long post.
