Why won't my computer connect to the internet?
-
I just did a fresh install of windows xp home on my desktop. The device manager reports no issues with the ethernet card and with my network cable plugged in the lights on the ethernet card are flashing like they are supposed to. any ideas?

Answer:
Possibly your PC has a static IP set up and should be getting it via DHCP, check the properties of the connection (From network connections in Control Panel). Possibly your Router is not giving out an IP via DHCP, check your router..
