Can I share my internet broadband stick connection with another computer?

  • I have an internet broadband stick at home and just wondering if it's possible to share my internet connection with another computer, I have two computers at home that are connected through a switch...is it possible? How will I setup my computer? thanks!

    Yes it is. what you would do is go into your connections in control panel (if your using windows, if not it is VERY complicated in my experience. especially sharing in between Operating systems.) and select the connection you are using and if it is going through your Ethernet cable into the switch you should see a wired connection...Local area connection or LAN or something like that. then you need to highlight them both then select "bridge connections" you need to be an administrator but that should work

yes and there is a package to do this realy easily, the other poster is correct if you tried to do all the settings yourself its a pain and it probably wont work between operating systems. If you do a search for connectify i think its called its a package that turns the pc with the modem on it into a router, and lets you set up security and access like any other router.
